Kent Lee Staheli, age 74, passed away Monday January 26, 2026 at his home in Layton, Utah. He was born May 7, 1951 in Payson, Utah to Clarence B. and Margie May Allan Staheli. He lived in Marysville, Utah and Layton, Utah.
Kent graduated from Piute High School in 1969, where he was involved in wrestling and FFA. He went on to college at SUU and finished at USU with a teaching degree specializing in agricultural science. He taught in the Davis School District for 30 years and was the FFA advisor during this time. He enjoyed his time with the FFA Students.
Kent married Judy Anderson on June 29, 1973 in the Manti Temple.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served an LDS mission, the Eastern States Mission, from 1970 to 1972. He also served in many varied ward and stake callings throughout his life.
He enjoyed horticulture, hunting, fishing, and being with his children, and grandchildren.
Kent was preceded in death by his mother and father, Clarence and Margie Staheli, brother Allan Staheli, his grandparents, his father and mother-in-law, Edward and Doreen Anderson.
He is survived by his wife Judy Anderson Staheli, sons; Dustin Kent (Natalie) Staheli, Joshua Dean Staheli, daughters; Shari Diane (Eric) Wagner, Amanda Jesse (Curtis) Trott, Sarah Jean (Brent) Orme, Michelle Rae (Harry) Hellam, sisters; Kathy (Bill) Weekes, Clarice Johnson, DeeAnn (Robert) Hunt, Judy (Brent) Gardner, Patricia (Scott) Barksdale, 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to C.N.S. Hospice, especially nurse Scott Walker for his kind and loving care of our father, and the Layton 18th Ward members and neighbors for their constant love and support.

Funeral services will be held Friday February 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Creekside Stake Center, 1480 Phillips St., Layton, Utah. Family and friends may visit Thursday February 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church prior to the service.
Interment will be held at the Mayfield Utah Cemetery.
