Kennith Hyrum Illguth

Kennith Hyrum Illguth was born to Ruth Illguth and Frank Joseph Illguth in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 10, 1954.

 

He is a graduate of Jordan High School and also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Weber State University. Ken was also a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities and loved being involved in scouting.

 

Ken married Terrie Finck on November 5, 1975, in Salt Lake City, Utah. During their marriage they were blessed to adopt Suzanne Michelle in 1985 and later welcomed their son Michael K in 1988.

 

After their divorce, Ken married Bobbi Wickham on December 4, 1994, in Reno, Nevada. They welcomed their two boys Nathan Paul in 1995 and Phillip Alexander in 1998.

 

Ken was a very talented painter and loved to visit Disneyland. He loved to cook, and his family claims his potato salad is the best! He was very imaginative and creative and always had fun ideas for things he wanted to do with his family like going on picnics and bowling. He was a big dreamer and always wanted to better the world.

 

He passed away on April 27, 2024, after a long hard battle with dementia. 


Ken is survived by his children, Suzanne (Evan) Andreasen, Michael (Jana) Illguth, Nathan (Edit) Illguth, and Phillip (Emma) Illguth; his five grandchildren, Eliza Suzanne, Lily Jean, Phillip Gabriel, Isla Kay, and Odin Israel Illguth; his brother, Steve (Jacque) Illguth; sister, Marie (John) Tedrow; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Clegg and Frank Joseph Illguth and his nephew, Gary Lenhart.

 

A small family gathering will take place to celebrate the life of Kenneth H Illguth on May 10, 2024.

 

His family would like to send their appreciation to his care team at Sandstone Holladay Nursing facility for caring for Ken over these last several years. Your care and service over these years was very appreciated.
