Listen to Obituary

Kenneth was born October 31, 1929, in Logan, Utah. He was raised in Logan, with Cache Valley serving as his childhood playground. While his early years were modest in material things, he was richly blessed with a loving mother, Vera, and father, Harvey, and three brothers - Dale, Clyde, and Lowell - who loved him dearly and preceded him in death. They have lovingly awaited his arrival in the spirit world.

Kenneth was sealed for time and all eternity to the love of his life Marilyn Johnson on September 14, 1951, in the Logan Utah Temple. Marilyn has faithfully awaited his return to her on the other side of the veil, which occurred on January 28, 2026. At the age of 96, Kenneth had more loved ones on the other side of the veil than on this side, including one grandchild.

He is survived by 3 children, Kevin (Judy), Tamra Pluim, Cory (Penny), 12 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

Kenneth worked various jobs in his youth before joining the United States Army at the age of 19. He later retired from the United States Air Force as a civilian employee at age 55 and shortly thereafter retired from the Air Force Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel. He faithfully served his community as a Little League baseball umpire in Kaysville for many years. Kenneth and Marilyn also faithfully served together as Extraction Missionaries in their Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for many years.

Kenneth had a love for travel and the outdoors, including several fishing trips to Alaska, hunting trips, and camping trips. Following retirement, he and Marilyn traveled to Europe, New Zealand, and Hawaii. They treasured time spent together in their motorhome in Logan Canyon and enjoyed traveling the western coast of the United States. His hobbies included swimming and lapidary.

The family would like to give Mike and the staff at Fit Quest Physical Therapy in Kaysville a heartfelt thank you for their years of care.

Also, a special thank you to the administration and aides at Wisper Cove Assisted Living & Memory Care in Kaysville for their loving care.

Many family members and friends shared and helped dad through his mortal journey, bless you and thank you.
