Kaz Masunaga

Kazuo “Kaz” Masunaga Kaz Masunaga passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Kaz was born November 30, 1932 in Sacramento, California to Kinzo and Mutsuye Masunaga. He grew up and was educated in Sacramento. Kaz graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1956 from Cal State Sacramento and started working for the US Air Force at McClellan Air Force Base in California. In 1968, Kaz transferred to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio where he attended the Air Force Institute of Technology and graduated the next year with a Master’s Degree in Logistics Mangement. Success in assignments were at Norton AFB, CA; Air Force Accounting and Finance Center, Denver, CO; Lachland AFB, San Antonio, TX; Hill AFB, UT; and Ramstein AFB, Germany. Kaz returned to Hill AFB where he retired in 1988. Kaz is survived by three sisters and their offspring, most of whom reside in Sacramento, CA. As per Kaz’s wishes there will not be any services held. Cremation entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date at the East Lawn Cemetery, Sacramento, CA.
