Karen was born in Ogden, Utah to Roy and Lola McFerson. She spent most of her life in the Clearfield and Ogden areas. She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1973.

She retired from the Utah State Tax Commission. She was a member of the LDS church which she held several positions.

Karen loved crafting, sewing and tending children. Also, she loved her Scottish heritage.

Surviving is her brother Gerald McFerson. Proceeded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:00  a.m.at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary. 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Layton, Utah. Family A private viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. for family prayer.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd., South Ogden, Utah.
