June Folkman Willard

June Folkman Willard, 92, passed away on February 27, 2012. She was born in Plain City, Utah on June 10, 1919 to Lester G. and Grace Selman Folkman. She was the youngest of five children. June attended Weber County Schools. She has always worked hard, in her youth she worked on the family farm. She was employed at Intermountain Knitting Mills for several years and then at Utah Tailoring Mills which she retired from in 1982.

June married Frank M. Neilson and was later divorced. She then married Parley Willard. June and Parley owned and operated Willard and Western Rodeo companies, where they made many lifelong friends. They often said they never made much money, but they sure had a lot of fun. June has resided in Liberty, Utah since 1951. Along with her family, many Valley residents refer to her as Gramma June.

After her retirement, she devoted her time to raising her great-grandchildren. June loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She enjoyed needlework, making countless afghans, hats and baby blankets for her loved ones. June had a wonderful sense of humor that kept everyone going during tough times.

June is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Jack) Hadlock, Liberty, Utah; and Shirley (Dennis) Montgomery, Tremonton, Utah; son-in-law, Bill Hadlock, Eden, Utah; 10 grandchildren, Bill (Jami) Hadlock, Lawson Hadlock, Sidney (Jim) Bowen, Sheri Ramsey, Lex (Carrie) Hadlock, Lisa Hadlock, Heidi (Lang) Reber, Jodi (Wade) Peterson, Brett (Darla) Montgomery, and Brenda (Dan) Johnson; 32 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren, with many more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Eileen Hadlock; her husband; parents; and all of her siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Liberty Cemetery, 3900 North SR 162, Liberty, Utah.

Our family would like to thank Vista Care especially Bridget Seese, Leslie and all the CNAs that cared for Gramma, and thanks also to Wasatch Care Center and their staff for their love and support.
