Julie Ann Penrod Davidson

July 4, 1958 ~ April 25, 2022

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, Julie Ann Penrod Davidson, 63, passed away in the presence of her children, husband Paul, and visiting angels in the ICU at Intermountain Hospital, Murray, Utah, on April 25, 2022.  Julie’s cause of death was from complications of Lupus, of which she fought valiantly during the last 25 years of her life.

Julie was born on July 4, 1958, to Norman and Joann Penrod, the oldest of six children, Shirley, Thad, Vickie, Drew, and Jared. Julie spent part of her early years in American Samoa with her family where her father taught English. Later the family moved back to Pleasant View where Julie attended local schools. She graduated from Weber High School in 1976, and then went on to attend classes at Weber State College.

Julie met Paul Davidson at Weber State College. They were married on September 7, 1979, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Julie and Paul made their home in several locations over the course of Paul’s employment, living in Syracuse, Utah; Billings, Montana; Lake Point, Utah; and finally, the last five years in Mountain Green, Utah. Julie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings including Relief Society, Primary, Cub Scouts, Young Women’s and as an Ogden Temple worker.

Julie dearly loved all her children and enjoyed being a mother/grandmother to them all. She would often sew them many outfits while they were young.  She enjoyed wide variety of arts which included doing crafting, gardening, baking and making her house a welcoming home for everyone. She loved camping, being in the outdoors and loved feeding many varieties of wild birds. Julie especially loved being a mom, spending time with her grandkids and hosting family parties. She had a contagious smile, enjoyed making others laugh, and always put others before herself.

Julie is survived by her husband, Paul; children, Matthew (Teresa) of West Bountiful, Nathan (Ashley) of Star Valley, WY, Spencer (Leo) of Salt Lake City, Joshua (Emily) of Ogden, and Amy Davidson of Orem; 13 grandchildren, Logan Skousen, Kylie Skousen, Delanie Skousen, Jacob, Aiden, Millie, Maizie Ann, Sophie, Silva Rose, Carson, Elijah, Caleb, Korbin, and Jacob and Adam Ceballos; her mother, JoAnn; siblings, Shirley, Thad, Vickie, Drew, and Jared.
