Judy Ann Egan Johnson

February 24, 1944 — December 20, 2023

Judy Ann Egan Johnson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away from kidney failure, on December 20, 2023, at the age of 79 in Syracuse, Utah. Born in Logan, Utah on February 24, 1944, Judy touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.

Judy attended schools in Richmond, Clearfield, and Kaysville Utah.

After High School, Judy attended telephone operator school where she honed her telecommunication skills that would serve her well throughout her life. She was also a PTA President and an election judge in her time. She was an Avon representative for many years, her customers becoming her friends.

Outside of work, Judy had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She was an avid reader who could often be found lost in the pages of a good book. Judy was also skilled at crochet, gardening, traveling, painting, crafting, and sewing. These creative outlets allowed her to express herself and share her talents with those around her.

Family meant everything to Judy. She was devoted to her husband Darrell K. Johnson and shared a deep bond of love with him throughout their marriage of 59 years. Together they raised five wonderful children: Dawn Marie (Mark) LaFleur, Troy Bradley (Heather) Johnson, Shalece Machel (Matthew) DeRemer, Nathan Grange Johnson, Adam Kent (Jessica) Johnson.

Judy's dedication as a mother was unwavering, and her love and support knew no bounds. She also has 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.

Judy's passing leaves a void that can never be filled. She will be deeply missed by her husband, four children, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her son Nathan Grange Johnson, and infant children, Cheri Lynn, Jared Jacob, Allison Aleen Johnson and her sisters Aleen Egan and Arlene Billie Egan. Also her parents, Arnold F. and Mary A. Egan.

A special thank you to IHC Hospice, especially nurse Kelly and to Dr. Adam Nebeker for his care over the years.
