Judith Ann Smith

Judy Ann Diggs Smith Judy Ann Diggs Smith, our sweet mama, lost her battle with cancer early on January 13, 2012, at the age of 62. Born on October 29, 1949, to Cletus Leo and Gerlinda Marie Harlasz Diggs, this beautiful, creative soul loved nature and animals with a passion for birds. She shared her love of creatures great and small with those around her. Judy''s many artistic talents included writing, painting, sketching, and crafting. She used these talents to give back to her community by creating amazing trees for the Festival of Trees. Her ability to connect with others throughout her life impacted those around her from family to friends, coworkers to stranger; she did not even realize how many people she touched. She is survived by her family: Joey (Brion) Conway and children, Shawn and Paul; Jennifer Marnie (Alan, "A good Al") Parry and children, Destry, Samantha, Colten, Bowen and grandson Crue; Sonya Britt Welsh and daughter Elizabeth; Scott "Scotter" Lowell (Chelsea, "her favorite daughter") Smith; Lowell Smith, her friend and former spouse; and her brother, John Dieter Diggs and his children. A Memorial Open House will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 1 to 4 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. at the Ogden Nature Center, 966 W. 12th Street, Ogden. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Ogden Nature Center (www.ogdennaturecenter.org, click on "Support" then "Donate Online").
