Judith Palosaari Hansen

April 30, 1932 ~ July 24, 2022

Judy Hansen, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 24, 2022.

Mom was born to Arnold and Verna Palosaari on April 30, 1932 in Calumet, MI. She was the middle child having one older brother, Ronald and younger, sister, Phyllis. Her young years were spent in the UP where she made many lifelong friends.

She worked at the local power company until she met Charlie Hansen, a dashing you Air Force man who swept her off her feet. In May of 1959 they married. They had one daughter, Susan, and together we traveled throughout the world. Mom spent her time as a loving wife, homemaker and best mother God ever made.

Judy was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church. She supported her family who were always number one to her. She volunteered on base for the Chapel and as a tax assistance preparer for our Airmen. She loved to play golf and played on the base women’s league for many years. She supported dad through his many adventures and traveled with him during his volunteering with the Pro Senior golfing tour.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Susan (Richard) Daylong and Cheryl (Paul) Seybold; granddaughter, Brandy (Jerry) Johnson; sister, Phyllis Miller and great-grandchildren, Jace Johnson, Bradley Isaacs and Nicholas Isaacs. She was preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter, parents and brother.

A private celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
