Juanita Evelyn Payan Shick

Our Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Daughter, & Friend passed away. Born on October 20, 1940 in Arboles, Colorado, to John Joseph Payan & Maria Sophia Lobato Payan. She graduated from Ogden High School.

Her Career included Hill AFB, IRS, & Jetway.

Her hobbies included Flowers, Ceramics, Embroidery, Gardening, Reading, Drawing, Tennis, & Bowling.

She was Den Leader of the Boy Scouts, President Womens Church Group, Promoters of the Sacred Heart, & other Groups in the Church.

She is survived by her Husband Ronald Shick. Sons; Christopher & Wife Michelle Shick, Quinley & Wife Renee Shick. Brothers; Bill & Wife Debbie Velasquez, Louis & Wife Tami Payan. Sisters; Mary Lena Arlofski, Cathy Trentman. Granddaughters; Sophia Shick, Madeline Shick, & Mary Shick. Grandsons; Conrad & Wife Kalee Shick & Michael Shick. Many Nieces, Nephews, & Friends. Preceded in death by Father John Payan & Mother Sophia Payan. Sisters; Belinda Lopez, Mary Gene Salaz, & Cordy Velasquez. Brothers; Chuck Velasquez & Mike Velasquez.

She was a dedicated long time member of St Joseph's Church. She was Loved & Adored by many. We all love her & will miss her dearly.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday June 30, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th Street. Friends may visit with family from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch. Services entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, where flowers should be delivered to by Sunday.
