Loving husband, devoted father, builder, and friend.
Joshua LaMar Graves, lovingly known as Josh, passed away on June 1, 2025, at his home in Liberty, Utah. He was a man of many talents, a heart full of love; a presence that made life better for everyone who knew him.
Joshua was born in Layton, Utah to Rory and Shanna Graves. He was raised in North Ogden and later built his life in Ogden Valley, the community he cherished. He was a successful business owner and general contractor whose craftsmanship was rivaled only by his commitment to family. He had a gift for making and building things—whether it was a home project, a motocross bike, or meaningful memories with those he loved.
Josh was happiest outdoors, especially when watching his kids ride motocross and spending time with his family at the racetrack. He adored his wife and children and found joy in the simple, grounding moments of being at home. He loved deeply, laughed easily, and created a life centered around the people who meant the most to him.
He is survived by his wife, Danylle Graves; their three beloved children, Remington Graves, Wylder Graves, and Wyatt Graves. He also leaves behind his mother, Shanna Graves; his three brothers, Justin and his wife Aissa Graves, Jayden Graves and Jaxston Graves and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Josh grew up playing football, baseball, and his friendships remained lifelong and loyal. He was so smart, so funny, and so much fun to be around. His home was a safe haven to anyone who needed one. His heart was one of the softest and sweetest you could ever know. Josh will always be remembered for his campfire humor, his warm spirit, and his awesome dance moves. There was rarely a moment without a Coors Light and Copenhagen in his hand—those who knew him know, he wouldn’t have it any other way. His love for his family was unmatched, and the memories they made together will be cherished forever. Though this is only a temporary separation, Josh will remain with us—in every hummingbird sighting, every shared laugh, and every quiet moment when we need him most. He is our guardian angel now, watching over his family until we meet again.
A Go Fund Me has been created to help the family with expenses.
