“Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.”

Josesito (Jody) Trujillo, age 65, passed away on July 7, 2022, at Davis Hospital surrounded by family after a heart attack.

Jody was born October 26, 1956, in Ogden, Utah. He was raised in Clearfield where he lived with his parents, Jose (Joe) Adolfo Trujillo and Lillie Trujillo; and his eight siblings. Jody attended Clearfield High School where he met Kim Layton. Jody later married Kim on April 17, 1974. They resided in Syracuse. He was a beloved husband to Kim for 48 years, they had two children, Jason Boady Trujillo and Jessica Trujillo. Jody served in the U.S. Navy prior to starting a very long and dedicated career of 42 years at Hill Air Force Base in the Missile Program until his retirement in 2017.

Jody was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. There wasn't a thing he wouldn't do for his family and friends, he was giving and caring, and loved by all. He was a very hard worker, loved cooking, and enjoyed making everyone he encountered laugh. He was a master of telling gullible stories and giving his grandchildren a hard time. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, planning family reunions, and spoiling his dog, Grizz. Jody enjoyed home projects, supporting his favorite quarterback, Tom Brady, and loved arguing with the T.V. news announcers over issues of the day.

With his passing he leaves behind his wife, Kim; two children, Jason Trujillo and Jessica (Tom) Parker; and five grandchildren, Mackinsy (Josh) Cain, Dakota Parker, Kayla Trujillo, Marshall Parker, and Justin Parker.

Jody is also survived by his eight brothers and sisters, Joy (George) Dupin, Dino Trujillo, Ray (Julie) Trujillo, Feama (Kelly) Sleeman, Beth (Dave) Holt, Rico (Julie) Trujillo, Felina Trujillo, and Sergio Trujillo; his sister-in-laws, Terrie (Mark) Thornley and Lori (Jeff) Bowen; and many nieces and nephews.

Jody was preceded in death by his parents, Jose (Joe) Adolfo and Lillie Trujillo; his in-laws, Orson Ray, Shirley Layton, Dustin Thornley, Julie Weese, and DelRay Layton.

Jody will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
