Josephine “Feena” Maggio passed peacefully on March 24, 2026, just two days shy of her 93rd Birthday.
Born on March 26, 1933, in the small hill town of Camporeale, Sicily, Italy, Josephine was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Biamonte Maggio.
Following World War II, Josephine immigrated to the United States with her mother and older brother, Michael, joining her father and sisters, Marie, Pauline, and Faye, in Ogden, Utah. Ogden would remain her home for the rest of her life.
Josephine was known for her sassy personality and incredible cooking, as well as her loyalty to her friends.
She also had a spark of adventure and a deep love for music. In 1969, she bought a Pontiac Firebird and drove to Las Vegas to see Elvis Presley—a story she carried proudly for the rest of her life. She loved both him and that car to the very end.
Josephine leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, and some very special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Marie Sacco, Pauline Maggio, and Faye Sanders; her brother, Michael; and nephews, Kim Sanders and David Draney.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, with a Rosary prior at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
A special and heartfelt thank you to her dear friend and devoted caregiver, Stephanie Burnett, whose compassion, loyalty, and care meant more than words can express.
Ollie - Feena loves you….
