Joseph L. Lopez Jr.

Joey died February 2, 2022 peacefully in his home of brain cancer.

He was born July 14, 1949 in Salinas, California to Joseph L. Lopez and Juanita (Avelar) Lopez.

Joey enjoyed painting, drawing, fishing watching 49er and Giants games, hanging with family and friends, listening to oldies and dancing.Joey is survived by his sons, Michael (wife, Liz), Jason, Robert, Richard and daughters, Kimberly (husband, Doug), Rebecca (husband, Miguel). He also has 13 grandchildren, Azzie, Ziggy, Emma, Natalia, Betsy, Vanessa, Alejandra (family friend Irving), Jason, Marina, Jacklynn, Aliyah (husband, Brandon), Chantel (husband, Eddie) and Giovani, brother, Arnold (wife, Elaine) sisters Delia (husband, Ernie), Cecilia (husband, Ricardo) and lots of cousins and nieces and nephews.

Joey is preceded in death by his father, Joseph L. Lopez Sr., mother, Juanita (Avelar) Lopez, brother, Alejo Lopez and niece, Corina Garcia.

A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday February 11, 2022 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Celebration of life, immediately to follow at Clinton City building 1651 West 2300 North.
