Born August 9, 1956, in Ogden, Utah; passed away on October 28 at 5:30 a.m. at his home, surrounded by family.
Jon is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Wilcox; his daughter, Katie Gladwell; his son, Andy Wilcox; and his two grandchildren, McKay and Maylee Wilcox.
Jon was born and raised in Ogden, Utah, and was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He brought a strong, generous heart into every part of his life. He was a respected and accomplished business owner who earned the admiration of his peers.
He had a deep love for music—especially the guitar—and found great joy spending time on the golf course. Even as his health declined, he would joke that he’d rather be out golfing.
Jon’s life teaches a simple but lasting lesson through his own favorite words: “Life ain’t that hard—enjoy.”
Jon faced great personal and physical trials with courage and perseverance. He met every challenge with strength and grace, and we are proud of him for it.
We love you, Dad, with all our hearts.
Graveside services to celebrate Jon’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
