John “Jack” Arley Byram, 78, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on February 15, 2026, at 6:03 p.m.

He was born April 9, 1947, to Arley John and Mary Ann Byram in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Jack joined the Air Force and retired from service and Travis Air Force Base as Master Sergeant in 1987. During this time, he met and married his soulmate, Barbara Ann on August 15, 1980, in Clearfield, Utah. They resided in Roy after leaving California to raise their family.

He loved camping, riding atvs and hunting. He was an avid 49ers fan and loved working at Ed Kenley Ford. Jack loved his family and adored his grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his daughters, Jessica Ann of Roy, UT, Carrie (Nick) Willits of Illinois and Robin Joy of Roy, UT; grandchildren, Celes, Ryker, Adam John and Jennsen.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Barbara; two sons, John and Douglas; granddaughter, Charlotte; siblings, June, Dallas, Mary Lou, Larene and Verna.

Military honors will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.

The family would like to thank Lindquist Mortuary for all their dedication and care of the Byram family.
