John Gerald “Jerry” Deubler, 87, of Roosevelt, Utah, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Jerry is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Margaret; and by a family that meant everything to him—his sons, Melvin and Kevin; his grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, and Tracee; and his great-grandchildren, Sloane and Stevie. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Deubler; and sister, Margaret Sexton; along with many extended family members including his stepchildren, Maria Lira, Jim Cochran, Connie McDonald, and Gayla Keel; and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Naomi Deubler; and his parents, John and Harriet Deubler.
Born in Ogden, Utah, on May 21, 1938, Jerry graduated from Ogden High School in 1957 and went on to become a journeyman plumber. He built a long and respected career in the trades, operating his own business, JD Plumbing & Heating, before retiring from the Ogden City School District.
Jerry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quick wit, and genuine kindness. He took pride in his craft, cared deeply for his community, and lived each day with warmth and good humor. To his family and friends, he was not only skilled and dependable but also a source of steady love and laughter — qualities that will be cherished and remembered always.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
