Joel Chandler Roach

November 23, 1981 ~ November 4, 2021

November 4, 2021, a bright light left this world. Joel Chandler Roach was born November 23, 1981 in Ogden, UT. He attended Ogden City Schools as well as Snowcrest Jr High and 3rd grade at Eilson AFB in Alaska. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 2000.

His light shone bright on everyone he met, impacting more people than he ever realized. He was an adventurer, traveler, extreme sports enthusiast, and a good golfer. You couldn’t keep up with him on a pair of skis. He was a black belt at 14, competing undefeated for years. He was an inspiration to his many students, friends, and family alike.

He had a big heart and was generous to a fault. People loved him for his infectious laugh and smile as well as his giant personality. His stories were epic and watching him tell them was entertaining to all. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He lived 10 lifetimes during his short time here on earth. He was very handsome and always dressed to kill. He will be missed by everyone he knew.

Joel is survived by his parents, Lori and Troy Roach; his sister, Alayna Roach; uncles, aunts, cousins, and Grandma Carol Roche. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Helen Chandler, Ron Roche, a special “Aunt” Renn Barker, and aunt Sharlee Green.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

A wake will be held after the services at Foley’s Gym, 375 31st Street. Best dress attire is requested, but not required.
