Jody Nancy Myers

It is with great sadness that the family of Jody Nancy Myers must announce her passing on the morning of Saturday, March 19th, 2018, at the age of 63. Jody will always be lovingly remembered by her husband Floyd Myers, daughter Sara Myers Stokes, son-in-law Erik Stokes and granddaughter Avalyn Stokes. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Vicki Overstreet, Don Martin, Susan Cottell, Bob Martin and Jill King. Jody was preceded in death by her father Donald Martin, mother Ruth Leavitt Martin, brother Jim Martin, and sister DeAnna Meyer.

Jody was born on February 8th, 1955, and was the 6th of eight children. She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1973. She proudly served in the US Army working in the motor pool and was honorably discharged in 1980. She married Floyd Myers on Feb 14th, 1981 after which she attended Weber State College and studied nursing. She dedicated her career to helping others working as an LPN in the rehab unit at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden Utah, and retired in 2014.

Since retiring, Jody enjoyed spending time doing activities with her family, such as bowling, miniature golf, and going to haunted houses. She loved attending movies, collecting movies, and dotting on her granddaughter Avalyn, or as she liked to call her, Ally. Jody will be remembered as a very loving and extremely generous person who loved to make friends and lasting acquaintances wherever she went. She will always be in our thoughts and prayers and she will be missed greatly by all.

Urnside services will be held in her honor Wednesday, May 30th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State Street.

A luncheon will follow at 1:00 pm at the LDS chapel located at 1895 S. Main St. in Clearfield.
