Joan Moore

Joan Moore, 67, of Hooper, Utah passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

She was born on September 7, 1957 to George S. and Melva Fowers Moore in Moses Lake, Washington. Her family moved to Hooper, Utah about 1970. Joan attended Sandridge Jr. High and graduated from Roy High School in 1975. 

Joan graduated from Weber State College where she earned her LPN in nursing. She was employed by McKay-Dee Hospital until her retirement. 

She loved all animals. Her Fur babies were her children. She enjoyed reading, soap operas and “The Wizard of Oz”. She loved to travel and had Pen Pals all around the world. 

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and many Fur babies. 

She is survived by her uncle, Preston Fowers, her aunts, Pat Fowers, Myrna Fowers and Cleone Moore, many cousins and her cat, Willie.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. 

 Interment, Hooper Cemetery.
