Jimmy Glenn Burkhart
Jimmy Glenn Burkhart, 70, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012. He was born on July 22, 1941 to Carl J. and Velma Weathers Burkhart in Ogden. He spent most of his life in Utah and a short time in Missouri. He loved traveling or just riding around on his Harley. He was an avid fisherman and always caught the fish that was "this big". Jimmy enjoyed hunting deer. One of his hobbies was working on bikes and cars. He was a great woodcarver making amazing toys. He was a remarkable guitar player and had a gorgeous voice. Dad could tell a joke like no other. He had the biggest heart and was kind to all he met. His greatest pleasure was his family. They were his #1 priority.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Douglas (Ashley) Burkhart; daughters, Debbie (Lynn) Bolton, Lisa (Chuck) Walker, Laura Burkhart, Carol Stallings, Krystal (William) Hike, and Meagan Burkhart; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his twin sister, Joan Berg and sisters, Mary (Grant) Johnson, and Sharon Hislop. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Hank Berg and nephew, Rick Mattson.
A Gathering will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Cremation entrusted to Lindquist Mortuary.
A special thanks to his baby twin sister for all her love and kindness.
