Jesus Miguel Ruiz
November 18, 1989 ~ September 18, 2022
Jesus (Jesse) Miguel Ruiz, 32, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was born in Ogden, Utah, on November 18, 1989 to Juan Manuel Ruiz and Mercedes Oseguera (Ruiz). He graduated from Bonneville High School, and was attending Weber State University for a Psychology major. He was on track to graduate within 1 ½ years.
He enjoyed listening to music. His favorite bands were Silversun Pickups, Death Cab for Cutie, and Metallica. He also listened to 80’s music and Los Bukis, like his parents. His other hobbies were comics, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings, and, of course, he read all of the Harry Potter series when they came out. He was an avid sports fan. His favorite Premier League team was Manchester City, whom he saw play in person when he traveled to Europe December 2019. His favorite NFL team was the Dallas Cowboys.
He will be remembered for taking his younger cousins fishing, to see the monster trucks, and other field trips; for his exuberant cheers whenever his favorite team scored, which would scare our small Yorkies into a frenzy; for his silly Halloween costumes, his incredible dad jokes, his beautiful baritone voice; and for his for his love family.
Jesse is survived by his parents, Juan and Mercedes of South Ogden; siblings, Savannah Ruiz and Jonathan (Karo) Ruiz of South Ogden; grandmother, Clara Murillo (Ruiz) of South Ogden; grandparents, Ramiro and Maria Oseguera of Roy; and a multitude of uncles, aunts, and cousins in the Ogden area. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Jose Oseguera and Jesus Oseguera; and his grandfather, Jose Manuel Ruiz-Magana.
