Jennie Hohman

Jennie Norberg Hohman of Layton peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on May 20, 2016 surrounded by her family.

She was born September 15, 1928 to John Murray and Florence Dean Bringhurst Norberg.  She was born and raised in Salt Lake City.

Later, she was employed at HAFB where she met the love of her life, Virgil Max Hohman.  Combining two families, they lived in Roy then Layton.

After raising their children, they spent their retirement years as “Snow Birds” living in their motor home, traveling between Canada and Mexico with their Maltese dogs.

Mom was an active member of the LDS Church.

She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, and the pursuit of knowledge.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving brother, Jaron (Deena) Norberg; children, Max (Dazy Mae) Hohman, Deanna (Randy) Child, Dan (Noreen) Hohman, Kris (Scott) Neville, Laurie (Doug) Justensen, Julie (Ralph) Gold; 27 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband two sons, one grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Our family wishes to thank Fairfield Village and Aspire Home Health and Hospice for their loving care of our mother.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Road.  Friends may visit family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
