Jared Randall Parkinson

Jared Randall Parkinson, 39, was called home into the loving arms of his Savior on Sunday, February 26, 2023 after a short battle with mucosal melanoma.

Jared was born on November 22, 1983 in Ogden, Utah to Randall Leon and Melody Joy Eckstein Parkinson. He was the youngest of their four children. Jared loved to build things. He would always raid his mom’s sewing room, much to her dismay, and create something marvelously original with his finds.

He graduated from Bonneville High School and worked for Lifetime Products as a supervisor in the Metals Department. He loved his time at Lifetime and made many lasting friendships there. Thank you to everyone there, your kindness and generosity meant the world to him.

As anyone who has visited his home, seen his Facebook posts or talked to him during football season can attest, he LOVED the Green Bay Packers. We’re certain he continues to cheer them on from heaven.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and participating in the many rides he went on for various good causes and made a lot of great lasting friendships along the way, which were all dear to him.

Jared is survived by his parents, Randall and Melody Parkinson; his sister, Michelle (Jon) Wright; and his seven nieces, to include Shayla, Alexes, and Mylee Parkinson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nicole Ann; his brother, Christopher Leon; and his grandparents, E. Leon and Eulla Parkinson and Robert and Norma Eckstein.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful nurses from Intermountain Homecare and Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Valley 5th Ward, 5735 S. Crestwood Drive. Friends may visit with family on Friday, March 3rd, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Portage, Utah Cemetery.
