Janet Lynn Heath Adams

September 10, 1950 — April 4, 2023

Janet L. Adams passed away April 4, 2023 in Layton, Utah at age 72.  She was born September 10, 1950 in Clarkston, Washington to Edgar Heath and Henrietta “Ruth” McCarrell and was raised in Nez Perce, Idaho.

She attended college in Boise, Idaho where she met her lifelong partner Howard “Wally” Adams. They were married in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. They were together over 50 years and raised two boys Justin and Tyson and enjoyed four grandchildren.

Janet loved the outdoors.  Together she and Wally could be found either in their garden, out on a boat fishing, camping or traveling to Washington or Oregon.  She enjoyed sewing and cooking and caring for her “Puppies.”

In life she battled cancer. She won many battles, however she finally succumbed to this awful disease.  Janet will always be missed, but we are thankful that she is no longer in pain.

Janet was welcomed to the other side by her brother Neal, two sisters; Kathy Regennitter and Mary Lopez, along with her amazing parents.  She leaves behind her husband, Wally, two sons; Justin (Nancy), Tyson, four grandchildren; Kristopher (Taylour), Meganne, Tristen (McKinley) Adams, Arianna Adams her sisters; Carol (Lynn) Anderson and Ruth Ann (Roy) Cole.  She also had many friends who will miss her.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary. 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.

A traditional obituary is a familiar notion, from birth to grave with some interesting stuff in between.  Janet had so many more tales to tell us than this. . . If we are to learn from our loved ones, or enjoy their lives , we must speak of them  freely, think of them objectively and creatively, and remember on them with honesty and fervor and humor.
