We are sad to announce the passing of Jana Lynn Bentley Danzer who passed away suddenly on October 26, 2023 in Layton, Utah at the age of 59. She was very loved and will be missed terribly.
Jana grew up in Ogden, Utah and later moved to Layton, Utah.
Jana loved reading, travel, football and most of all her family and friends. She had many creative talents, but her ability to connect with people was one of her greatest!
If she knew you, she loved you. Her amazing memory never let a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion pass by without a text or phone call. She knew every family members birthday, cousins, second and third cousins, spouses…everyone.
Her travels took her many places, but her favorites were Hawaii and Europe where she enjoyed many adventures. Her love for The Queen and the royal family made her trips to Europe even more magical. She was an avid collector of all things British, and they brough her so much joy.
She had a great love for football. Whether her teams were winning or losing she was a faithful fan.
Go Raiders! Go Utes!
Jana served a service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Welfare Square in Salt Lake City. She loved all the people she worked with and was able to meet through the service.
She always had a stitching project she was working on and a book on her nightstand. We will miss her sense of humor and always making us laugh. We love you!
Jana is preceded in death by her mother, Karma Bentely, and her grandmothers, Inez Langley and Marcella Rhodes. She is survived by her daughter Amber Reese and three grandchildren, Mariah, Bentley, and Isaiah; her father Lynn Bentley; two sisters Shelley Williams (Larry) and Melanie Steiner (Shawn); her nieces and nephews McKayla (Donovan), Kristen (Harry), Haylie, Matthew, Jeff (Hallie), Davis, and Kenna (Luca) and great nieces and nephews; William, Ennye, Madlynn, Bode, Arlo, and Nora and two twin boy nephews on the way; aunts, uncles and many loving cousins and their families.
