James J. Wolfe

James J. Wolfe OGDEN – James J. Wolfe, 67, our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 at the University of Utah Medical Center from complications of mesothleoma. He was born May 4, 1939 in Marion, Virginia, a son of George Washington and Nannie Blevins Wolfe. James was raised in Virginia and moved to Utah when he was 18 years old. He met and married the love of his life and best friend, Ellen, on June 7, 1960 and they have shared that love and friendship for all these years. James worked all his life at various jobs making sure his family never went without. James had a great skill to build beautiful pieces with wood. He would either be working in his garage or spending his spare time outdoors and playing with his grandchildren. James was a caring man and was concerned with the well being of all those whom he loved. He was the best Dad and Grandpa any child could ever hope for and was our best friend. Surviving are his wife Ellen, of 47 years, his children, Wendy (Mike) Guerra, James “Rob” (Jenny) Wolfe, and Brittny (Danny) Shelton, and his grandchildren, Kyler, Brody, parker, Alex, Mariah, Adler, Teagan and Aryiana. Also surviving are his brothers, Roger (Carol) Wolfe, Virginia; George (Thelma) Wolfe, Utah; and sister, Della Duncan, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. We wish to express a special thank you to the U of U (MICU Unit) and the Huntsman Cancer Institute for the compassion and care of our Dad. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Email condolences to the family at lom@lindquistmortuary.com
