JACKIE WHITE ADAMS

Jacquelyn (Jackie) White Adams, 80, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away February 4, 2022 at the Legacy House of Taylorsville after battling with Dementia for several years.

Jackie was born on October 18, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Byron Wilson White and Norma Ruth Bartlett.  After a few years in Salt Lake City, Jackie grew up in Layton, Utah.

She was married to Dennis N. Adams for over 56 years.  Jackie and Dennis attended Jr High and High School together.  They both graduated from Davis High School in the class of 1959.  Five years later they became re-acquainted, fell in love and were married in 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple.  They raised their family in Kaysville, Layton, and West Valley City (formerly, Granger).

Jackie joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints as a young adult and spent the rest of her life following the teachings of Jesus Christ.  She served in many leadership and teaching positions in the church, including, Ward Relief Society President, and Stake Relief Society President.  Jackie loved Family History and spent many years searching out her ancestors and teaching others to do the same.  She willingly shared her research and family history with other family members.   Jackie and Dennis served missions together in Kirtland, Ohio, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Salt Lake City Inner City Mission.

She dearly loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jackie is survived by her husband, her children, Jason Adams, West Valley City, Carlee (Joe Christoffersen), West Jordan, Angie (Ryan Mellor), Layton, Allison (David Pattberg) Blaine, Minnesota, sister, Pamela (Earl Rogers), son-in-law, Phillip Dietz (Lisa), 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Susan Adams Dietz, brother, Norman White (and his wife Janis), grandson, Aaron Dietz.

We appreciate the dedicated service of the staff and caregivers at Legacy House, at Elevation Hospice, and Dr. Megan Puckett.

For many years Jackie insisted that each month we donate to worthy charities that are working to cure terrible diseases, help the poor, the needy and the homeless. We invite you to follow her example.
