NORTH OGDEN-Jacki LaDea Seely Kirby, mother, grandmother, sister and best friend to many. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 74.
Jacki was born November 7, 1937 to Elwyn and Pansy Seely. Mom grew up in Brigham City, Utah. She graduated from Box Elder High School. While in high school she was a member of the swim team, clarinet quartet and accomplished member of the drum and bugle corps, taking part in more than 66 parades and performances and won national acclaim.
Mom attended the University of Utah and attained her Associate of Science Degree from Weber State. Mom retired from the Internal Revenue Service after more than 20 years of devoted service, but mom NEVER retired from loving and caring for her family.
Mom married Terry Nichols and together had one son. They later divorced. She then married LaMar Kirby and they were married for 23 years and together had three children and later divorced.
Mom then met her soul mate and sweetheart Wendell Madsen whom she spent her last 27 years with. He has three children, Dena, Carrie, and Jeff.
Mom had many interests including gardening, oil painting, astrology and especially the trips to Wendover with Wendell. Mom enjoyed her time on her "puter" printing family pictures for everyone.
She is survived by her children; Kelly Kirby, Brent Kirby, Randy Kirby and Heidi Tremelling, five grandchildren; Bray Tremelling, Chanse Tremelling, Alex Millar, Colton Kirby and Shaylee Kirby. Also surviving are two brothers, Dr. Rod and Mike Seely and two sisters, Adele Beal and Sharyn Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her soul mate Wendell, brother Bud Seely and sister Ardus Hazen.
Services to celebrate Mom''s life will be on Thursday April 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. North, Ogden. Family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and on Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
