Ivie Aleta Rasmussen Hansen

Ivie Aleta Rasmussen Hansen went home to her Heavenly Father peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 17, 2012, where she will be welcomed with open arms by her family and friends that had gone before her. She was a sister, mother, Grammy, aunt and friend.

She was born October 2, 1951 in Burley, Idaho to Alice LaPreal Davis Rasmussen and Jesse Alma Rasmussen. She was the seventh of eight children, and had a lifelong love of crafting, with which she had blessed others with her beautiful crafts.

Aleta graduated from Roy High School in 1969 and graduated with honors from Lake Washington Technology Institute''s Dental Assistant program in 1992.

She held many different callings within the LDS Church and enjoyed her service as an Ordinance Worker in the Seattle Temple.

Aleta is survived by two children, Jason (Johnna) Hansen and Jessica Edwards; three siblings, Myrna Surowiec, Alaina Anderson, Lance Rasmussen; eight grandchildren, Kota Clapp, Randen Clapp, Jessie Edwards, Destiny Belkonen, Christian Hansen, Arilyn Hansen, Gunnar Hansen and Hunter Hansen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and four siblings, LaJay, Jesse Jr., Shana Rae and Liz.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 23rd at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
