Ina Florene Rainey McCrary
Today my Heavenly Father has called me home. I will be with the love of my life and best friend who passed on before me to prepare a place for me and our family.
I was born August 30, 1934 in Panguitch, Utah a daughter of Ashby and Ina Imaly. I was raised in Weber County.
I married Junior Lee Rainey in September 1950 and after 22 years we divorced. We had four wonderful children.
I later married Gary J. McCrary who had five children. Our marriage was solemnized in the Ogden Temple June 8, 1988. Together we raised nine children.
I was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I held many positions all of which I enjoyed.
I retired in 1993 after working many years for the Federal Government. After I retired, we spent a lot of time camping, fishing, hunting, and enjoying our family. I loved being a mom, grandma, and being called “Grandma Great!” It was my privilege to take care of our parents and my husband before they passed.
Survived by my sons, Richard Rainey of Clearfield and Gary Brent (Tammy) McCrary of West Haven; daughters, Patricia (Bobby) Rainey Gibbons of Clinton; Phyllis Sherrod of Ogden; Rhonda (Lynn) Petrie of New York; Christy (Simon) Perez of Roy; Catherine (Dana) Goddard of Clearfield; and Shelva (Scott) Gaudette of Idaho; 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; sister, Lavera (Darrell) Byram of South Weber and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by my husband; daughter and her husband, Wanda and Jerry Hendricks; parents; and brother, Elvin Imaly.
Many thanks to longtime physician Dr. Scott Moulton and hospice nurse, Andrea.
