Listen to Obituary

Our mother, Iloa Young Gregory, was born 102 ½ years ago, in beautiful Idaho Falls. She was the grandchild of pioneers who crossed the Atlantic and the Great Plains just before the railroads were completed.

Iloa was the oldest of eight brothers and sisters. Hers was a world shifting from horse-drawn travel to modern vehicles. She lived to see space travel, use computers, and mobile phones.

She studied at BYU and completed her degree in Early Child Studies at UCR in Riverside, California.

Throughout her long life , Iloa carried a deep, profound love of God and was fully dedicated to her religious faith.

Iloa was both beautiful and talented, quickly making friends wherever she went. She strode confidently into her young adulthood and fell in love on a cable car in San Francisco. He was a handsome warrior marine, returned from WWII Pacific Duty, having survived horrific battles. Iloa and her husband soon had two little girls, who now look back on her long life of service to others.

We sisters knew we were blessed to have a loving mother who bravely faced many personal storms with grace and love.

Iloa passed on April 13, 2026 in Bountiful, Utah. She will be forever in our hearts.
