Hiroki Marumoto

LAYTON, Hiroki Marumoto, age 84 passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born December 10, 1931 in Torrence, California to Masaichiro Marumoto and Asako Okuda.

Hiroki married Shizue Tozawa in Hiroshima, Japan on December 6, 1971.  They were blessed with two sons; Sheldon (Katherine) and Michael (Kim).

He served in the Utah National Guard.  He enjoyed tinkering, gardening, electronics and building things.  He loved playing with his grandkids, his pets and watching The Lone Ranger.

Hiroki was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, current serving as a High Priest.

He is survived by his wife Shizue “Suzie”, and his sons Sheldon and Michael, siblings, Yukari, Bill, and Seiko.  He is also survived by his grandchildren: Matthew, Jonathan, William, Kaitlyn, Greyson and Kai.

Preceded in death by his parents and his sister Midori.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Summerfield Ward, 60 W. Gordon Ave. Layton.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. and Saturday from 8 to 8:45 at the church.
