Harvey "Harv" Albert Dickerson

Harvey Albert Dickerson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on March 22, 2023, at the age of 79, in South Ogden, Utah. He was born on June 7, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ralph Dickerson and Grace Crowther.

He met the love of his life, Lorna Jensen, while dragging State Street in Salt Lake. They were married on February 19, 1966, in Redmond, Utah, and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in June of the same year. They built a beautiful life together, living in Salt Lake, Murray, Layton, and South Ogden, and raised four children: Corie, Aneisa, Patrick, and Lonnie.

Harv had a long and fulfilling career as a truck driver, working mostly for IML and ABF. After retiring from trucking, Harv worked in reservations for Continental Airlines. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to places like Hong Kong, Alaska, and Scotland. He loved to watch TV, play cards, work in the yard, build things, and spend time with his family. Harv was also an avid football fan.

Harv was preceded in death by his wife, Lorna; his parents, Ralph and Grace; and a sister, Janet. He is survived by his four children and their spouses, Corie Condon (Butch), Aneisa Phelps (Derk), Patrick Dickerson (Camille), and Lonnie Dickerson (Marisol); sisters, Darlene and Faye; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Harv will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kind heart, gentle nature, and loving spirit will always be remembered and cherished.

A gathering in his honor will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd, Layton, Utah. An additional gathering will be held at the same location on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00am on Thursday. Interment will be immediately thereafter at the Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd, Layton, Utah.
