MSgt Harold K. Combs, retired, passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, Monday, December 5, 2016.

Harold was born January 3, 1959 in Biloxi, Mississippi, son of Harold K. Combs, Sr. and Joyce Rivell Combs Nelson. Harold was an Air Force brat but he and his parents called Kentucky home.

Harold was a veteran of Desert Storm/Shield and retired from the Air Force in 1998. He spent the last 28 years working at Hill Air Force Base as a serviceman and civilian.

Harold loved the outdoors and had a deep passion for fly fishing. Harold also loved watching sports and spending time with friends and family. He was a pet lover and leaves behind his beloved Yeshi and Daisey.

Harold is survived by his wife, Kathy; mother Joyce Nelson; his son Andrew J. Combs (Allison); step-daughter Amy Ellis; brother Steven Combs (Nikki); 11 grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Harold K. Combs, Sr.; son Justin L. Combs and infant daughter Kristie L. Combs.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. A viewing will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to services.

Interment in Berea, Kentucky.
