It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Gustavo Hernandez Rojas, who unexpectedly left us on July 11, 2025, in Ogden, Utah. At the age of 65, his sudden departure has left his family devastated and in shock. Born on March 2, 1960, in Michoacán, Mexico, Gustavo's family was his utmost priority. His children and grandchildren brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment spent at their soccer games.

Gustavo had a deep love for his farm, where he found happiness in caring for his goats and chickens, as well as tending to his organic vegetable garden. Known for his remarkable ability to make friends and his readiness to lend a helping hand, he was described as a kind, genuine, and funny man with a big heart. His positive spirit and warmth created a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Gustavo Hernandez Rojas is survived and missed by his loving wife, Irma, of 38 years of marriage; his children, Mayra, Gustavo Jr., Chelly, and Leslie; his cherished nine grandchildren, Anthony, Angel, Alex, Mia, Gustavito, Sofia, Noah, Ayden, and Michelle; his two sons-in-law, Alex and Chris; and his siblings, Eustorgio, Rafael, Jose Luis, Pedro, Javier, Jose, Maria Dolores, Maria Esperanza, and Rosamaria. The Hernandez family will cherish his memory.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2514 24th Street. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 North Monroe Blvd.


Con gran tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido Gustavo Hernández Rojas, quien nos dejó inesperadamente el 11 de julio de 2025 en Ogden, Utah. A la edad de 65 años, su partida repentina ha dejado a su familia devastada y en estado de shock. Nacido el 2 de marzo de 1960 en Michoacán, México, la familia de Gustavo fue su máxima prioridad. Sus hijos y nietos le trajeron una inmensa alegría, y atesoraba cada momento que pasaba en sus partidos de fútbol o pasando tiempo cada uno de sus nueve nietos.

Gustavo tenía un profundo amor por su granja, donde encontraba felicidad cuidando de sus chivitos y gallinas, así como cultivando su huerto orgánico. Conocido por su notable capacidad para hacer amigos y su disposición para ayudar, fue descrito como un hombre

amable, genuino y divertido con un gran corazón. Su espíritu positivo y calidez dejaron una impresión duradera en todos aquellos que tuvieron la suerte de conocerlo. Gustavo Hernández Rojas es sobrevivido y extrañado por su amada esposa, Irma, de 38 años de matrimonio; sus hijos, Mayra, Gustavo Jr., Chelly y Leslie; sus nueve nietos queridos, Anthony, Angel, Alex, Mia, Gustavito, Sofía, Noah, Ayden y Michelle; sus dos yernos Alex y Chris, y sus hermanos, Eustorgio, Rafael, José Luis, Pedro, Javier, José, María Dolores, María Esperanza y Rosamaría. La familia Hernández atesorará su memoria.

La familia Hernández ha hecho arreglos para que amigos y familiares asistan a una velación el miércoles 16 de julio de 2025, de 6:00 pm a 8:00 pm en Linquest Mortuary, ubicado en 3408 Washington Blvd. en Ogden, Utah. El Rosario se llevará a cabo en la Iglesia Católica San José, 514 24th Street, Ogden, Utah 84401, el jueves 17 de julio de 2025, a las 11:00 am. Después del Rosario, será sepultado en Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 N. Monroe Blvd., Ogden, Utah 84404.
