Greg Sill passed away surrounded by family on October 15th, 2025 at the age of 77. He was born on December 22, 1947 in Ogden, UT to Eldon and Marie Sill. He enjoyed growing up on his family farm in Layton, UT. After graduating from Davis High School in 1966, he attended Northeastern Junior College in Colorado, before serving 2 years in the Western States Mission, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He went on to study landscape architecture at Utah State and would eventually meet his wife, Carmen Heaton. They were married on September 26,1970, in the St. George Temple. Carmen and Greg were married for 55 years before his passing.
Employment brought them to California where their son, Brandon Gregory Sill was born on April 20, 1976, in Hayward, CA. Greg proudly served in the National Guard Reserves for 6 years and had a career as an Automotive Service Manager.
Greg enjoyed all things outdoors, including: hunting, gardening, skiing, and camping. He loved watching basketball and football games with Carmen. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandkids. He taught them many things including how to hunt, raise pheasants, grow pumpkins, and enjoyed Thursday movie nights. He lived a life full of service for his family, friends, and church.
Greg is survived by his wife Carmen, son Brandon, 5 siblings Diatra, Stephen, Claudine, Doug, and Teresa, 5 grandchildren Isaac, Levi, Tatum, Kale, and Ezra, and 1 great grandchild Isla.
Friends and family are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday October 25th, at 11:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Address: 1233 Northgate Drive Manteca, CA 95336
