Gloria “Becky” Rebecca Judkins, 78 of Dover, Delaware, passed away at home on December 19, 2025, of natural causes.
Born on March 3, 1947, in Dover, Delaware, to Eugene Lester Smith and Gloria Elizabeth Ann Slater, Becky was the third of thirteen children, and she grew up in Dover.
Becky moved to Hartford, Connecticut, at the age of 10 years old. At the age of 17, she married her forever companion, Daniel Wesley Judkins, on January 16, 1965, in Hartford. They later settled in Coventry, Connecticut where they raised their family of two sons and one daughter together.
Later in life Becky took a course from Brigham Young University and got a certificate in Family History Research. Using her certificate she has taught thousands of people how to follow their Family History Trees.
When living in Ogden, Utah, she volunteered her time at the Ogden Family History Research Center. Becky was known for showing unconditional love. When she smiled or laughed, she lit up the room. She had a sweetness about her that seemed to draw people to her.
She also enjoyed traveling, despite her being wheelchair-bound. Her family will forever remember Becky and her will to let nothing get in her way from things she sought out to do.
Her children will always be reminded of all the family history trips taken looking for ancestors.
Becky is survived by her children, Daniel P. and wife Yuderka “Yudi” Judkins, Wesley G. Judkins, and Elizabeth C. Judkins, all of Connecticut; ten grandchildren; siblings, Yolanda McClements, Eugene L. “Bud,” Gary “Timmy,” Friedrich D., and Allen Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty-five years, Daniel; by her siblings, Albert F. Smith, Nicholas C. Smith, Robin D. Smith, Robert L. “Bobby Lee” Smith, Eugina “Gina” Hutchings, Bruce “Petey” Wayne Smith, and Wanda Millett; as well as by her grandson, Jacob I. Wells.
The family gives special thanks to JoAnne Coppola, Becky’s caretaker and friend for these last few years.
