Glade L. Wistisen
NORTH OGDEN - Glade L. Wistisen, 82, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on April 18, 1930 in Logan, Utah to Iner and Ann Wistisen.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean War from October 24, 1950 to August 18, 1954.
Glade married Alverta Yearsley on June 19, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in the Ogden area for the remainder of their lives.
He was a member of the North Ogden 20th Ward.
Glade enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and woodworking. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He retired from Jetway after 35 years.
Glade is survived by his son, Mike Y Wistisen (Trisha); 2 granddaughters, Misty (Daniel) Knight and Mandy (Jason) Fowers; 3 great-grandchildren, Karter Knight, Brycen Fowers and Savannah Fowers; sister, Donna (Jay) Gavin and a very special friend, Angie Retalis.
Preceded in death by his wife, Alverta Wistisen; parents; brother, IJ Wistisen and sister-in-law, Verda Wistisen.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.
