Geraldine Williams

Geraldine (Jeri)  Hadley Williams, our loving, kind and selfless wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away  peacefully at her home Friday June 3, 2016 surrounded by her family.

She was born March 2, 1924 in Ogden, Utah, the 8th of 11 children, of John Hipwell and Laura Thurston Hadley.
Jeri married her sweetheart and eternal companion on June 2, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints.  Jeri loved her Heavenly Father with all her heart and soul and bore testimony of this love not only to her family and friends, but to everyone she met.  Jeri served with her husband in the Ogden Temple and served in many other church callings throughout her life.  Her husband Clyde was called to organize and serve as the first Branch President of the Meadows Branch in Bountiful and Jeri served as the first Relief Society President.

Jeri is survived by her daughter Deborah Lynn Williams, grandchildren Andrea Nordgran Duffy (Tim), Angela Nordgran Caldwell (Wade) Jason Williams Nordgran (Cindy), great grandchildren, Jaron Yancey, Alec Duffy, Brittany Duffy Philpot, Meghan Duffy, Adam Caldwell, Cohen Caldwell, Jude Caldwell, Gavin Nordgran, Evelyn Nordgran, Benet Nordgran.  Preceded in death by her son Jon Timothy Williams in 1979, great-granddaughter Clara Caldwell in 2005 and her husband Clyde Ezra Williams in 2014.

Jeri has been a teacher and mentor to her family through her lifelong example.  She truly loved life to the fullest and loved everyone no matter who they were.  She would put her hands on your face and say, "You're beautiful and Heavenly Father loves you."  She had a beautiful countenance which brightened every room she entered.
Some of her favorite phrases with which she greeted family, friends and strangers were "You're beautiful."  "I love you!"   "I love people,"   "Heavenly Father Loves You!"   and "  I love life!"

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 9, 2016 at the Bountiful 37th Ward 1540 N 400 E. with a viewing at 9:45 -10:45 a.m. prior.     Friends and family may also visit Wednesday June 8, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N 400 E.    Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
