Georgia Reed Busey

Georgia Reed Busey, 87, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020, in Ogden Utah after a long life filled with kindness, generosity and untiring effort for her family and friends.

Born in 1933 to Joseph Eldon Reed and Dorothy Ingham Hayes, she was raised in Kaysville Utah, after which she lived 22 years in southern Virginia before returning to Kaysville for the last 34 years of her life.

She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and besides her main focus of being a devoted wife and mother, served faithfully in many church callings, including visiting teacher, primary teacher and secretary, meetinghouse librarian, and temple volunteer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Raymond Busey and son Kevin.  She is survived by two sons; Brent (Kathy) and Reed (Sharon), nine grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St., Kaysville, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
