George Ted Larson, 91, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012, causes incident to age, ten days short of his 92nd birthday.
He was born December 4, 1920 in Ogden, Utah to Arthur F. and Verna V. Anderson Larson. He was raised and educated in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School and Stevens Henagar College. Ted served his country in the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division during World War II where he earned a Bronze Star with Citation for bravery. He was awarded North African and European Theater Battle Ribbons with two Combat Stars, an Infantry Combat Badge and the U.S. Victory Medal.
Ted was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He operated for over 50 years Greyhound Bus Lines and Pacific Trailways bus agencies in Utah, Idaho and Oregon. He also worked in marketing for KSOS and KLZX radio stations for 12 years.
He enjoyed golfing and hunting.
Ted is survived by his children, Brent Larson, Las Vegas; Kay King, Mt. Pleasant; Debbie Foster, Brigham City; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was very grateful for the kindness and love shown by his step-children, Ken, Bonnie, Pat and LaRae.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wives; Doris Petersen, Bonnie Brown, Laura Louise Frew, and Winona Hodgson; one sister, Adele Diefenbacher and two brothers, William and John Larson.
The family is grateful for the fine care given by Angie and her staff at Lotus Park Care Center.
Private graveside services will be held at the West Point Cemetery.
