Gene Douglas Alexander "Together Again"

Gene Douglas Alexander, 75, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012. He was born on November 21, 1936 to Mark Douglas and Katherine Dallinga Alexander. He attended schools in Ogden. After high school, he served in the US Air Force. He married Karla Joy Westover in 1955. She passed away in 2010.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a supply clerk at H.A.F. B. for 35 years. Gene enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, crocheting with his wife, the outdoors, and playing chess.

Gene is survived by his sons, Darrell Alexander, Arkansas; Dennis Alexander, Las Vegas; and Kevin (Joyce) Alexander, Clearfield; daughters, Debra (Gordon) Doxey, Clearfield; Judy Carroll, Arizona; and Bonnie (Rodney) Priest, Washington Terrace; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Gary (Margaret) Atkinson, Sandy; and sister, Jackie (Marvin) Stone, Ogden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter, Julie Alexander.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, where military honors will be accorded. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
