Gary Floyd Taylor November 4, 1939 a€" March 6, 2012 Gary Floyd Taylor died at his home in North Ogden on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, after fighting a battle with congestive heart failure. He was born on November 4, 1939 in Ogden, Utah. He lived his entire life in North Ogden, graduating from Weber High School and Weber State University. He married MaryAnn Edwards Taylor in 1963 and they later divorced. He married Helen R. Taylor in 1982. Gary and Helen owned and operated IBEC in Ogden for 15 years. He lived a life of devoted service including an LDS mission in New Zealand, being a member of the Army National Guard and presiding as a Bishop in the LDS Church for many years. He was an avid gardener and farmer who enjoyed generously sharing the fruits of his labor. Gary loved the outdoors including: fishing, hunting, exploring and many adventures throughout his life. Having lived a very full life, Gary always had the most interesting stories which he was happy to share. All the lives he touched are forever changed by his loving and compassionate nature. Gary''s love was powerful and he was the greatest example of Christ-like love we have ever known. He is loved dearly by his family and by countless others with whom he crossed paths. While we mourn the loss of Gary with great sorrow, we celebrate his life with an even greater happiness. Gary is survived by his wife Helen and by his children, Wendy A. Taylor of Boulder, CO; John D. Taylor (Amy Wilde) of Portland, OR; James B. Taylor of Ogden; and Howard H. Taylor of Tempe, AZ and by 5 grandchildren who he loved very much: Tori, Dimitri, Logan, Brooklyn and Jack; sisters, JoD''Ann Dance and Marge D. Taylor; and brother, Paul R. Taylor. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Fern Taylor, and son, Michael. A celebration of Gary''s life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the LDS church at 386 East Elberta Drive at 3:00 pm. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at the church. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
