Gary Lee Nay

April 9, 1944 ~ September 28, 2022

Gary Lee Nay, 78, of Ogden, UT, passed away on September 28, 2022 peacefully with family after a battle of bone cancer and dementia.

Gary was born on April 9, 1944, to Frederick Nay and Ida Brunson. He was a Purple Heart Veteran who loved his country. He served in the army for five years during the Vietnam War.

He married Bonnie Louise Haag June 28, 1991, and was later sealed in the Manti Temple and they raised seven beautiful children in Delta, Utah.

Gary worked as a cook for many years and people enjoyed his cooking. After attending Snow College, he started a computer business with his wife at the time called G&B Computers. He would build computers from scratch. He loved working with anything technical. So much so, he collected old computers and was making his own computer museum.

Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and watching old westerns. He loved all his children and loved his six stepchildren as his own. He had a heart of gold, and he will be greatly missed. Just remember, I love you more, daddy!

Gary is survived by his children, Sam Nay, Gary Heath Nay, Racheal Nay and Shalee Nay; his stepchildren, Rochelle Christiansen, Tiffany Christiansen Sabey, Melissa Christiansen Stewart, Andrew Christiansen, Alesha Christiansen, and Monica Christiansen Shafto; his siblings, Vicki Newitt, Kay Fleming, Sherry Nay and Charlie Nay; and his ex-wife, Bonnie Louise Nay. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his sister, Linda Hare Nay; and his son, Daun Nay

Per his wishes, Gary will be cremated and laid to rest in Riverton, Utah at the VA Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
