Francis Orvil Unander

OGDEN a€" Frank Unander, age 95, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012. He was born on March 10, 1917 in Bingham, Utah to Ralph Peter and Elvena Matilda Rasmussen Unander.

He grew up in the Burley, Idaho area.

Frank served in the Eastern States Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Frank married Fern Thompson on February 14, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings throughout his life.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Vicki Unander; son, Keith (Mary) Unander; three grandchildren, Karen Unander, Nancy (Evan) Wong and Mark (Alex) Unander; brother, Richard (Jane) Unander and sister, Doris Unander.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Fern and brothers, Verl and Robert.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
