Faye Williams Harris

Faye Williams Harris, 91, passed away on November 26, 2012 of causes incident to age. Faye was born on May 8, 1921 in Farr West, Utah, to Jesse Myron and Alice LaVera Smout Williams.

On September 27, 1941, she married M. Robert Harris. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They were later divorced.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving as organist for the Primary for 20 years. Faye was a gifted musician. She played the cello in high school and was pianist for the Bette Stearman School of Dance for many years.

She was a hard worker, both inside and outside the home. She was a fantastic cook, providing delicious balanced meals for her family. She was the best pie-maker around. Faye worked retail for many years, retiring from Sears. In her later years, she worked for the Lady''s Store in the Newgate Mall and Deseret Industries in Ogden. She hoped to work until she was 90, but declining health caused her to resign at age 84. She was an excellent seamstress and spent many hours sewing beautiful dresses for her daughters. She created striking pieces of embroidery and crocheted many lovely Afghans. She was devoted to her son who inherited her gift of music.

Faye is survived by her three daughters and one son, Patsy Iannone, Dixie (Harold) Finch, Roberta Ann Smith, and Ricky R. Harris; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one sister Jean Dabling.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marian.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
