Faye Strom Burraston

1918 ~ 2017

Our gentle, witty mother and devoted grandmother, Faye, left for her final excursion on November 15, 2017.

Born in Mammoth, Utah to Owen and Alean Simmons Strom on December 9, 1918, Faye was raised in Goshen, Santaquin, and Payson. She graduated from Payson High School.

In 1938, Faye married Marvin Burraston. The couple resided in Los Angeles and upon their return to Utah they lived in Nephi, Payson, Layton, and Kaysville. Faye’s final home was in Ogden and she retired from McKay-Dee Hospital after many years as a medical secretary.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Verl and Robert Strom; and a sister, Dorene Kious. She leaves behind two daughters, Barbara Faye Burraston of Ogden and Arlene Burraston-White (Kendall) of Lexington, Virginia; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Matthew Wall of Sacramento, California.

At Faye’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial. A family only graveside service will be held in Santaquin City Cemetery at 1 p.m. MST on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Crestwood Care Center for their many years of loving care.
