Evangeline Morgan Lindeburg

February 4, 2012 — November 5, 2024

Evangeline Morgan Lindeburg,12, affectionately known as Evie, passed away on November 5, 2024, from an undiagnosed heart condition, in Ogden, UT. Born on February 4, 2012, her life was like a shooting star, bringing joy, hope, and love to everyone blessed by her radiance. She would also be the first to remind us that she wasn’t ACTUALLY a star, and that saying so was very “sus.”

That was her favorite word, “sus”, and it said a lot about her. Her boundless curiosity made her question everything, and she did not take things at face value. She was beloved by her friends and teachers at Ogden Preparatory Academy for her inquisitive nature and propensity for hands-on learning. She loved history, with particular interest in dinosaurs and ancient Egypt, and science, which led to many kitchen messes after her “experiments.” She was a natural artist, and her drawings covered notebooks, textbooks, sidewalks, walls, furniture, and any surface she could reach.

More than that was her love for her family, and she was always happiest when spending time with her loved ones. She loved outdoor activities like camping and swimming, hiking but not so much. She loved to read with her mom, play video games with her dad, garden with her grandpa, and building (and fighting over) Legos with her sister,

Evie loved aquariums and aquatic life- from the many fish tanks around the house to the Living Planet Aquarium, which was always her choice for birthday trips and special occasions. She loved to inform everyone within earshot about the arapaima, the largest freshwater fish, or the various habits of penguins. The only thing that rivaled her fascination with the animals was the speed at which she moved between exhibits, challenging everyone to keep up with her both intellectually and physically.

She leaves behind a loving family: her mother, Katie Lindeburg (nee Bauman); father, Richard Lindeburg; sister, Coraline Lindeburg; grandfathers, Victor Lindeburg and Dick (Suzie) Bauman; Nana, Lanette Singleton (Haun) (Bauman); uncles, Ben Bauman, Gary Lindeburg, and Kyle (Ashley) Singleton; aunt, Leslie Bauman (Charlie Marousek); and many cherished cousins. Evie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Teri Lindeburg, and grandfather, Scott Singleton.

Our family would like to give our sincerest thanks to all those who have been here to support us during this difficult time.
